Global Stewardship
An Application of our Moral Compass
Global eLearning believes in being a positive social force, both locally and globally, through investments of time and profits to those in need.
Our Employees & Contractors
Many of our employees are involved with community, mission, church, and nonprofit organizations both home and abroad. We thought our stories were pretty impressive until we started hearing some of the extraordinary activities performed by our contractors and partners!
As one keen researcher recently discovered, the world’s greatest leaders are also tremendous givers. Perhaps leadership yields the desire to serve … or, does a genuine attitude of servanthood develop exceptional leadership skills? We don’t claim to know the cause and effect relationship, but simply enjoy the fact that some symbiotic relationship exists between the heart of serving and the privilege of leading.

Translators Without Borders
Global eLearning is proud to be a bronze sponsor partner with Translators without Borders.
Translators without Borders envisions a world where knowledge knows no language barriers. The US-based nonprofit provides people access to vital knowledge in their language by connecting nonprofit organizations with a professional community of volunteer translators, building local language translation capacity, and raising awareness of language barriers. Originally founded in 1994 in France as Traducteurs sans Frontières (now its sister organization). Since 2011, Translators without Borders has translated more than 20 million words for non-profits worldwide. (That is more than $1 million in translations every year that non-profits put back into their programs.) The organization responds to crises throughout the world to ensure populations understand aid workers – e.g., helping Syrian refugees get critical information in Arabic and expanding access to Wikipedia medical articles in 40 languages.
Kiva.org
Kiva is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world.
What is KIVA? Kiva envisions a world where all people – even in the most remote areas of the globe – hold the power to create opportunity for themselves and others. Kiva works with microfinance institutions on five continents to provide loans to people without access to traditional banking systems. One hundred percent of a loan is sent to these microfinance institutions, which are called Field Partners, who administer the loans & repayment in the field. Kiva relies on a worldwide network of over 450 volunteers who work with their Field Partners, edit and translate borrower stories, and ensure the smooth operation of countless other Kiva programs.
Heart to Heart International
When Hurricane Maria pounded Puerto Rico in September 2017, Compass Languages felt the repercussions through one of its employees who is from that island territory. As a company, we asked her which organizations we could donate to and Heart-to-Heart International was offered. This organization specializes in volunteer healthcare and already had five teams on the ground in Puerto Rico within days after the hurricane wreaked havoc. Heart to Heart International strengthens communities through improving health access, providing humanitarian development and administering crisis relief worldwide. Heart to Heart imagines a world in which every person has access to a healthy life and every community has the capacity to make that access a reality. They believe that sustained access to health sets the foundation for individual and community development. In everything they do, we work to broaden access to healthcare services and build capacity for health.
